MY HOME, LLC was founded in 2023 in Charlotte, North Carolina, by Daget Tegegne and Seble Kidanewold, parents of a child with complex special needs.
Their personal journey navigating the challenges of finding residential and community-based care inspired them to create a safe, structured, and compassionate home for children who often have limited placement options.

From a Dream to a Licensed Children’s Group Home
MY HOME began with a 3-bed licensed group home operating under the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation (DHSR) as a Children’s Best Care Facility.
Our early focus includes:
- Providing stability for children facing frequent placement changes.
- Creating structured, individualized care plans.
- Supporting emotional, behavioral, and developmental growth.
Since opening, MY HOME has helped children find stability, inclusion, and meaningful progress in their community..
Expanding Leadership and Vision
In 2025, MY HOME welcomed new executive leadership to its team. With extensive behavioral health experience, this leadership strengthens operations and supports the organization’s long-term growth.
Founders Daget and Seble remain actively involved, ensuring compassion and individualized care continue to guide every decision.
